{Custom} No. 10 Save the Dates: Blue Mehndi Regalia

with 2 comments

When I work with Trini of NOZZA Studio, she always comes up with the best concept directions. I love bringing her ideas to life with design. I have been lucky to work with her on several projects. I want to share them all with you and here is one to start.

No. 10 Invitation Save the Dates Black and Blue

These custom Save the Dates were created for Illia & Evan to announce their upcoming wedding at [seven-degrees] in Laguna Beach, California. We wanted the Save the Date to be a bit more playful and used the mehndi design from the Regalia collection. We printed on gorgeous metallic card stock and used a vibrant blue envelope.

{Semi-Custom} Optional Upgrades to Signature Collection Invitations

with one comment

For any of my Signature Collection Suites, I can customize the colors, wording and fonts without any additional charge. Sometimes, you just want something a little extra. No worries. The options are endless. Some upgrades can include a more unique paper option. Some paper options include, linen, cotton (100% tree-free–great for letterpress or flat printing), recycled or seed paper, card board, metallic, vellum or even fabric! Different printing techniques would need to be used, but, almost anything is possible!

Past Tense: Ornate Wedding Invitation on Shimmer Paper Gold and Pink

This ivory shimmer stock jazzed up the design even more. This client also wanted to use the same elements on the invitation that were seen on the Save the Date. Not a problem.

Adding layers is another great idea to create depth and gradation. Using colored stock as a backer card creates a gorgeous frame to the invitation design.

Adding the backer card creates durability to the invite that instantly makes it feel thicker.

The embellishments are endless. Whether adding ribbon, crystal buckles, rhinestone accents or feathers, I can help you. What ideas do you have to make your invitations stand out from the crowd?

Plumeria Flower Wedding Invitations Brown and pink

I recently finished this complete set for Beverly & Tim’s plumeria wedding stationery. You might remember the Save the Dates I also designed for them. She decided to switch up the color of the plumeria this time and used a fuchsia pink with a lighter sage green and chocolate-brown.

The completed set began with the plumeria Save the Dates and included additional elements such as the Invitation, RSVP card, Accommodations card and Map card.

Beautiful Plumeria flowers create a gorgeous touch to this custom wedding stationery set. Digitally printed on smooth white card stock. The fresh color palette of green, chocolate-brown and white plumeria flowers with a deep purple and pink alternate center go together beautifully!

{Introducing} LETERIA Printing: Cotton Paper

with one comment

Who doesn’t love letterpress? My infatuation with the tactile quality can never be replaced but I wanted to offer my clients an alternative to those working with budget savvy project. Letterpress leaves such a rich impression that in my opinion this is the modern form of foiling of days past. One of the beautiful qualities about letterpress printing is that is is most often used on smooth cotton paper. This fibrous stock is tree free and can vary in thickness. Cotton paper is a great alternative to regular paper for the environment.

LUXE Printing Letterpress Look on Cotton Paper

With my LETERIA printing I am bringing the look of letterpress and keeping the paper. LETERIA printing options will be flat printed on cotton paper and will offer more variety in colors. However, to mock true letterpress look, only few colors are used. LETERIA printing offers a great alternative to those who love letterpress without the cost. Any of my current Signature Collection designs can be LETERIA printed and I will be showcasing all of them in complete wedding suite packages (Save the Date, Invitation, RSVP card, Menu cards, etc.) LETERIA printed the next few weeks–so stay tuned!

Check out the full Past Tense: Ornate Suite from my Signature Collection in the LETERIA printed edition.

LUXE Printing Letterpress Look on Cotton Paper

When designing your wedding invitations, think of all the elements as a family. Having matching elements brings your wedding theme together and shows all the details are complete. Favor cards, coasters, Thank You cards, place cards, menu cards, and even the envelope can all be matched to your theme. Hold together your invitation and response card with an adorable matching paper belly band. This is what I call branding your wedding.
