The Pour House

The Pour House

On Tuesday night in lovely Charleston, I was gonna meet up with some friends at a bar called The Pour House. It was pretty cool because there was gonna be a band playing. It ended up being Against Me! which is one of Jason’s favorite bands! It was pretty awesome. I of course loved the logo the place has, very whimsical. Here is also a great YouTube clip of the place to get an idea of how big the venue was. I love that about Charleston, or South Carolina really. I was always able to see really cool bands in a more intimate environment for dirt cheap! This show was only $10. Don’t get me started on how cheap drinks were! But, best by far was seeing some old friends. Good times.

Victorian Lace

Not many other textures can capture femininity like lace does. It evokes a sexiness about it that instantly reminds me of romance. It also reminds me of old portraiture and costumes. Lace was once considered by the fashionable world, the most exquisite of adornments. My inspiration behind this design is a collaboration of all these things.

Offbeat Brides

with one comment

With my new found interest in designing wedding invitations, I am finding myself drowning in all the information out there. Lots of things are repetitive, boring and just plain all look the same! I am working on some designs for my wedding invitation line and while they will be simple in construction, there will be nothing simple about the look and feel. I want something different, and I am just the person to do it! This image inspired me today:

Catie Ritterson (above) was featured on Offbeat Bride and I LALA LOVE the vintage Betsy Johnson dress she got on Ebay! Now, as much as I love the offbeat bride concept, I don’t like to veer to far from traditional. So stay tuned to the new invitations that I will be posting!
