{inspiration} Papier Couture
I have been going through lots of inspiration books, which are my sketchbooks of clippings that I gather over time, to concept ideas for Fall 09 weddings. I came across some amazing images I have kept on the back burner. The dresses below were completely made from paper! Lia Griffith designed evening wear using a Xerox printer! Oh the Paper Cuts! Ouch! Her design debuted an an AIGA event in Portland, OR in 2006.
The peacock design titled Mystery is a bit easier to spot as paper with those loops, but the second one titled Passion has an amazing texture I would love to see in fabric dresses. It looks like it would be so soft to the touch. But, yeah, it’s not!
{Paper + Press} Paper Cut Industries & The Neighborhood Press

For those that have been following me and Paper Cut Industries, you know that I have a fond love for stitched paper. It all started with a Fiber class I took in college. I fell in love with fabric and combined it with my love of paper. However, my skills have not been mastered. I can’t stitch paper without losing my patience. Just a shame, because I wanted to offer stitching on Invitations since the beginning. My business cards were even stitched and they were a huge hit! We can also stitch custom designed business or calling cards for you!
Well, I am now going to officially be offering stitching as an option for all wedding invitations and stationery alike. Together with the skills behind The Neighborhood Press, it is now possible! We can apply stitching to Signature Collection options and of course apply it to any Custom Collection design.
I checked out Lori’s blog for The Neighborhood Press and instantly admired her skill and precision with the stitching she did on her Invitations. You should check out her site and see what goodies she has available. Lori is an English teacher turned amazing crafter and I am so happy to be working with her.

Check out Paper Cut Industries Signature Collection and Custom Collection so we can help bring your project to life! Together we can help create a dream stationery set that is both unique and modern. We can create a customized stationery set or wedding invitation that will help make your event memorable.
Packaging G E N I U S!
Far behind me are the days when I make a coffee run for the office. Taking the numerous orders of “extra cream please!”. But, by far the task of actually transporting the damn coffee always killed me. So many times did I witness coffee spills and burns occur right before my eyes as if it were some sort of initiation into a coffee club. “Do you have your coffee burns?” Then, there was always the tag-team. If one person was going to get coffee, it was almost necessary that another person go with them! When no one could (damn office efficiency) then you were screwed. Well, then I found this. Pit Stop Café by Homer Mendoza. Could someone please tell all the coffee houses about this?
