{Styled Chic} Branding Tip No. 6
Repetition is key. Research has proven this.
Research has also suggested consumers must encounter your brand seven to twelve times before they’re ready to purchase.
So put yourself in front of your target audience over & over again. Repetition is key!

{Custom} Bar Mitzvah Invitations
Most of the invitations I design are for weddings. I love weddings and designing amazing stationery sets for them is my passion. But when I get a chance to design something outside of my comfort zone, I jump at the challenge. I was contacted my Dan Hart to create his daughter Madeleine’s bar mitzvah invitations; and he needed them pretty fast. Once we met, finalized the designs and we got the printing rolling. The final outcome was divine.
They wanted to incorporate thermography into the printing as well. Which even though we needed it rush, my printer worked with me to get them ASAP. I love having wonderful vendors to work with! All of the type on the front of the invitation is in a bright blue thermography. Thermography is raised ink which creates a fantastic tactile surface. You can’t help but rub your fingers over it.
For this project I used Envelopments design elements, which worked perfect for Madeleine. Using elements from the Kaleidoscope collection really created something that is fun, fresh and not stuffy, which is exactly what the Hart family wanted for these. Madeleine chose a bright color combo of Chartreuse green and Tibetan blue which she pulled from the painting by Madeleine’s grandfather, Allen M. Hart, that they wanted to incorporate. To save on paper we printed the painting on the back of the main invitation card. This painting has such vibrant colors it all worked perfectly together.
We decided to print on a smooth ecru stock and printed on matching ecru envelopes. We included a custom map and directions for guests to help with attending the event.

{Semi-Custom} Optional Upgrades to Signature Collection Invitations
For any of my Signature Collection Suites, I can customize the colors, wording and fonts without any additional charge. Sometimes, you just want something a little extra. No worries. The options are endless. Some upgrades can include a more unique paper option. Some paper options include, linen, cotton (100% tree-free–great for letterpress or flat printing), recycled or seed paper, card board, metallic, vellum or even fabric! Different printing techniques would need to be used, but, almost anything is possible!
This ivory shimmer stock jazzed up the design even more. This client also wanted to use the same elements on the invitation that were seen on the Save the Date. Not a problem.
Adding layers is another great idea to create depth and gradation. Using colored stock as a backer card creates a gorgeous frame to the invitation design.
Adding the backer card creates durability to the invite that instantly makes it feel thicker.
The embellishments are endless. Whether adding ribbon, crystal buckles, rhinestone accents or feathers, I can help you. What ideas do you have to make your invitations stand out from the crowd?
