{Custom} CSULB Graduation Announcements 2012
1. {Social Collection} Hampton University Graduation No. 1 // These custom graduation announcements for a Hampton University student were customized with layering & an added blue crystal embellishment. We flat printed both the main card & the reception card on First Snow metallic card stock & layered them over a metallic blue Lapis card stock. This included a First Snow envelope printed with their return address & guest addresses.
2. {Social Collection} CSULB Graduation No. 2 // Soleil Garcia contacted us about creating her graduation announcements for her graduation from California State University Long Beach. This suite included a separate card for the dinner party after the ceremony. We decided a pocket fold in the Black Linen would be perfect. We had the schools emblem custom printed in gold thermography to create an authentic feel. Thermography is a step-up from flat printing & can provide textural results that really create elegance.
3.{Social Collection} University of Michigan Graduation No. 1 // These custom invitations for a student at the University of Michigan truly turned out clean & pristine. We flat printed the main announcement card & created the illusion of layering by printing the borders. Then, we printed the envelopes with the return address & guest addresses. Having the school emblem really sophisticated this announcement & added the scholarly recognition for the milestone achievement.

{News} Announcing The New Paper Cut Industries Website!
So you may have noticed there have been some changes to the look of Paper Cut Industries lately. Our blog went through an overhaul and got a fresh new look. Our Twitter also got an upgrade & we have had certain tweets that have been hinting at something big . . . it’s our NEW website! With the growing changes happening over here at Paper Cut Industries, we’ve been growing at such a steady rate, that we felt our site needed to grow & expand with us! And we LOVE how it turned out. Special thanks to G of Indie Design Studio for helping bring this bad ass site to life!
We’ve been working many long hours designing & creating the perfect website to work seamlessly for our Paper Cut Industries fans and clients. You’ll notice every little detail has been attended to on the site. We’ve added some wonderful new additions to the site as well; such as our Resources section which offers tips for everything from invitation wording to etiquette tips! We also have our Boutique which allows you to shop our site directly from your computer. Yes! This has been such a fantastic addition that we can now even offer favor boxes, all of our custom rubber stamps & even DIY elements such as extra sheets of loose paper you might just need for a project.

{Custom} Pink & Silver Chandelier Destination Wedding Invitations
Lauren & David wanted a detailed & special invitation for their summer destination wedding, set on the shores of Honolulu, Hawaii. Lauren had one thing on her mind; Pink! Pink was the primary color throughout the entire invitation design, mixed in with metallic silvers & shimmery whites. We printed a custom Pantone pink in thermography on shimmery white paper, & combined it with digital printing to convey an elegant invitation that connected to the venue. A pink chandelier was featured on the invitation, the response card & a smaller version of the chandelier, in black, was featured on the return flap of the metallic silver outer envelopes. The overall feel of the invitations was a soft & elegant design, all tied together with a thick pink double-satin bow that served as a beautiful gift when their guests received the invitations.
The main invitation card held so many tactile qualities starting with the raised ink printing (thermography) & by adding a pink layer behind the main invitation card that was centered in an Envelopments pocket fold. We added a custom patterned layer card inside the pocket of the pocket fold which was such a delicate surprise once the elements were removed. The response card was completely functional by making it a postcard that their guests could easily slip into the post & didn’t require an additional envelope.
On an additional card, we created a map that would help guests navigate around the island to all the available attractions & below included a schedule for the weekend’s wedding events to help guests keep all the important information together and portable. Hooray for pocket folds!

{Custom} Quinceañera Invitations with Swarovski Crystals
I had an awesome opportunity this year to work on a fantastic event hosted by Verizon. My Fabulous Quince is an event presented by Verizon where one lucky winner receives an all expense paid party to celebrate their Quinceañera with 200 guests. This year’s event took place in October with a live performance by International Pop/R&B star Jay Sean.
In the Latin culture, a Quinceañera is the celebration of a girl’s fifteenth birthday. This birthday is celebrated differently as it marks the transition from childhood to being a young woman. Although I never celebrated my Quinceañera, it has been something around me since childhood as my mother was born in Venezuela & her family is from Nicaragua. This truly was a special event to participate in and I am sure the lucky winner Dioselyn was equally excited!
