Q & A
What is the difference between the Signature Collection and the Custom Collection?
Our Signature Collection is for the jet-setter who wants something already designed. The changes that can be made to them are colors and wording. For those brides and socialites that have more time and would like to go beyond the suggested designs, we offer custom personalized services. We can create a stationery set that is one-of-a-kind to all your specifications. We can discuss all the various options to help bring your vision to life. During our initial consultation I will explain the design process, printing options and any embellishments you might want to consider.
How much do custom Paper Cut Industries invitations cost?
Any design not chosen from our Signature Collection is custom and one-of-a-kind to you and your special event. Since your custom design is from scratch, we can create a stationery set that works within your budget. Signature Collection printing and design packages start at $500 for 100 Invitations with 100 unprinted white envelopes, 100 Reply (RSVP) cards with 100 unprinted white envelopes. All packages can vary and ultimately depend on the final design. Project proposals may take up to a week to provide and for elaborate custom orders, please allow additional time.
How can I see samples of your work?
For any of our Signature Collection designs, samples can be purchased. Those samples will be in the presented colors and names as shown on the site. For locals, we can schedule an consultation meeting. During a consultation, you will have the opportunity to look through some of our printed samples, papers and embellishments. We will have a Signature Collection catalog available in the Fall of 2009. Our Wedding Boutique and our blog display our most current work.
What printing methods do you offer?
We can use a variety of printing methods depending on the design. We utilize flat printing, offset printing, embossing, thermography, foil stamping and letterpress.
Are you environmentally friendly?
We truly want to make every effort we can to work with innovative and sustainable means for a cleaner and happier world. Together with our clients we can work on choosing better alternatives to reduce waste and use fewer chemicals. We work with printers and vendors that feel the same way. They use soy-based inks (which release fewer compounds into the air when drying) for printing and utilize paper that is no less than 30% post consumer recycled fiber. We also do little things like scanning and archiving instead of printing out endless unnecessary papers, we use energy efficient light bulbs, we recycle, and we never let the water run while brushing our teeth! *wink
Can you print two-sided invitations or programs?
Yes! This is actually a great way to utilize paper and take an opportunity to incorporate a bilingual theme.
How soon can we get started designing?
Once a contract is signed and in hand, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit be made to begin work. Typically, we require 4-6 weeks for the entire process depending on the project. Design time usually takes the greater part, printing, calligraphy and assembly also require more time. Always allow ample time to mail invitations and stationery. We also recommend ordering additional invitations and envelopes in case of mistakes or last minute guests.
Can I still work with you if I don’t live in California?
But of course! I have worked with various clients across the US and Canada. With various correspondence we will be in touch the whole way through to completion.
How many invitations/stationery elements should I order?
Paper Cut Industries wants to create a complete and unified look for your event. When all elements are thought out and detailed your guests will truely appreciate it and it will be memorable. Custom options are endless. We can create favor cards, escort cards, maps and rubber stamps specifically for you. We recommend ordering an additional 10% to allow for mistakes or damaged elements.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Paper Cut Industries accepts Paypal and checks.
